But I personally would jump right in line for one of those "Stillen-Shrouded-style" gauge clusters if it was more recessed into the dash as opposed to tacked on top of it. I may be the only one who feels this way or not, I don't know. It would certainly be a more complicated install requiring cutting into the dash and I haven't a clue what, if anything, underneath that area would make it prohibitive, but if you are seriously toying around with the idea of mocking up an alternative to the DIN or pillar locations it might be something to consider.
